>Obituary: Mrs. Andrew Arnquist
>Mrs. Andrew Arnquist was born in Grasmarken, Sweden, April 15, 1846; died
at her home in the village of Star Prairie March 25, 1903. She came to
America 1866 and went direct to Red Wing, Minn; was married to John
Paulson, Dec. 28, 1867, in Vasa, Minn., moved to New York City in 1869,
living there about two years, then moved to Transilvinia Landing, La.,
where Mr. Paulson died. Mrs. Paulson returned to Vasa. Minn., with her two
daughters, Hilda and Carrie. After a time they moved to Star Prairie; she
was married May 4, 1876, to Andrew Arnquist. Mr. and Mrs. Arnquist moved
that fall to the farm that has since been there home.
>Mrs. Arnquist's health had been failing for a few years back, but until
about six months ago, was able to be up and around. She was always a kind
and loving wife and mother, good friend and neighbor. During the last
months of her life, when her suffering was greatest, she was ever cheerful
and patient. She leaves besides the two daughters of the former marriage,
four daughters and two sons and her husband.
>The funeral occurred from the Lutheran church at Huntingdon, Saturday,
March 28. Revs. J. A. Magny and W. S. Courtney officiated. Many were the
tributes of the flowers laid on the casket, showing the love and esteem in
which decedent was held by both friends and relatives. We extend our
sympathies to the bereaved husband and children.
